STATISTICAL LEADERS for boys & girls state finals (February 1) *****
Congratulations to the Silverado boys and Coronado girls
on winning the state championships. The Skyhawks' title was their second
overall (the first was in 2001). The Cougars' title was their third
consecutive; the Cougars are undefeated three years running. Congratulations
also to April Urban of Coronado, who bowled an NIAA post-season record 288
game (she bowled a 297 earlier this year for the overall state record) and
an NIAA overall / all-time state record 808 series. Finally, the NIAA would
like to extend its sincere appreciation to The Orleans Center for hosting
the 2008 state playoff series and to Barbara Youngman, the NIAA / CCSD
Bowling Coordinator, for her exceptional time, energy and effort. Thanks to
all of our student-athletes for an outstanding year both in the classroom
and on the lanes. See you again next season!
