NIAA corporate partners make the events
happen
The NIAA is thankful to have a handful of outstanding
corporate partners to assist with the daily interworkings of
the association, and to present a variety of championship
events and special projects. It is important to note that
the NIAA does not receive state funding. The NIAA's three
revenue streams are corporate partnerships/sponsorships,
event ticket sales and member schools’ dues. Hence,
corporate partners are so vital to the overall success of
the NIAA.
The NIAA and Las Vegas Review-Journal are partnering in the
second year of a renewed three-year partnership whereby the
Review-Journal will continue to serve as the presenting
sponsor of high school state sports championships in the
Silver State and general activities of the NIAA. The
sponsorship includes financial compensation for NIAA
operations and in-kind advertising value to promote athletic
events.
“We look forward to continuing our association with the NIAA
and Nevada high school sports,” said Sherman Frederick,
Publisher of the Review-Journal. “As the largest newspaper
in Nevada, we have an abiding interest in the development of
our youth. It’s exciting for us to help in every way we can
to help the NIAA not only make our state’s prep sports
programs stronger, but also to better communicate the
accomplishments of Nevada’s sons and daughters.”
Southern Nevada schools will receive at the 2007 state
athletic director’s conference new NIAA-RJ partnership
banners for display in their gymnasiums.
For more information about the NIAA/Review-Journal
partnership, please contact Donnie Nelson, Assistant
Director with the NIAA at (775) 688-6464, or Dean White,
Marketing Director with the R-J, at (702) 383-0436.
The NIAA recently signed a five-year partnership agreement
with the Farmers Insurance Group. Farmers, as approved by
the Board in September, is the co-presenting of Nevada’s
state high school sporting championships -- the “NIAA Nevada
State High School Championships, presented by the Las Vegas
Review-Journal and Farmers Insurance Group.”
The goddess of victory resides in the Silver State.
The NIAA Board of Control unanimously re-approved in March
of 2007 a three-year bid proposal from Nike which
encompasses official championship balls, financial
compensation, in-kind product support, tournament director’s
gear and NIKE bureau speaking engagements. The NIKE-NFHS
approved football, soccer ball, basketball and golf ball
(souvenir only) will be used in all NIAA post-season
tournaments. Please contact the NIAA for more information on
ball or special team and administration / coaching staff
orders.
Lifetouch National School Studios is the official
photographer of the NIAA and the presenting sponsor of the
annual Top 10 Student-Athletes of the Year banquets in both
Northern Nevada and Southern Nevada. Lifetouch’s financial
and emotional investment to the association and its member
schools saved the Top 10 banquet from being discontinued
five years ago.
“The Top 10 is a first-class program from the NIAA that
Lifetouch is proud to be associated with,” said Alex Hames,
Lifetouch Northern Nevada Territory Manager. “Lifetouch is
committed to capturing the memories of and supporting
athletic championship events in Nevada. Being involved with
the NIAA, which is also committed to excellence and creating
champions, is a perfect partnership. Lifetouch is honored to
be a part of promoting, recognizing and awarding the top
student-athletes in the Silver State.”
